Designing an effective, economic fertiliser program for our 2,000 hectare beef and sheep farm with predominately sandy soils is a challenge. The team at Acknowledge are up to the challenge. Since we started using Acknowledge in 2015 meat production per hectare has increased 67%. Taking soil tests yearly and clover only sampling every six months has let us improve our plan every year. This season we are on track to continue the upward production trend.

Hear what our customers are saying about us:

We have been using Agknowledge since about 2008. And this came about because we had been thinking that we had a problem with our pasture and crop performances. Some of our levels had been run down pretty low. K levels down to around 2 or 3, Olsen P 12-19. Agknowledge put in place a plan to do this over a 2-to-3-year time frame, to spread the cost and prove the results. And with pasture scoring and soil testing taking place in our blocks each year at the same time of year and in the same sampling lines we have been able to lift our levels to the economical level for our farm operation. And sure, enough after the 2 to 3 years our levels lifted to the point that we only needed to replace the nutrients that the pasture and crop’s remove each year. Our crop yields have lifted by about 15% and our carcass weight per hectare sold has increased by about 20%.

Donald & Craig Stobie

Doug is a key part of our decision making
process when it comes to fertiliser spend. I enjoy his no nonsense, science based approach to soils and fertiliser. After all, he is the Mythbuster. He leaves you in no doubt as to how to obtain optimal soil fertility levels so that we can maximise our on-farm productivity.
