I grew up in Lower Hutt City, but my focus and passion from age 11 was to enter the agricultural sector.
After college I attended Taratahi Ag Training Centre in Masterton then Kirkley Hall in the UK, to learn practical aspects of farming. On retuning to New Zealand I worked on both dairy and sheep and beef farms in Northern Southland. While working I studied extramurally towards my Bachelor of Applied Science (Agriculture).
After studying I worked for Ballance Agri Nutrients as fertiliser sales rep in Southland, then as part of the Farm Sustainability Team in Canterbury.
I enjoy working alongside farmers combining my farm system knowledge and science, to create practical, cost effective and sustainable solutions. I also enjoy learning from farmers.
I live in Mid Canterbury with my husband and two teenage boys. In my spare time I enjoy mountain biking, tramping and gardening.
